Sortland Parallel Commission
The purpose of the parallel commission has been to investigate the placement of new school and sports facilities on two different sites in Sortland: the School Quarter and Lamarka. The sites differ significantly, offering distinct qualities and development opportunities.
In this study, we present several alternatives developed on the basis of the team’s assessments of infrastructure, urban development, sustainability, and educational requirements. We also outline a recommended strategy, which we believe represents the most suitable solution in light of the municipality’s ambitions for Sortland’s development in the years ahead.
